What Is an Advanced Learner Loan?

The Advanced Learner Loan is designed to help individuals aged 19 and over fund their tuition fees at approved colleges or training providers in England. With affordable repayment terms, it offers flexibility and support to those looking to gain new qualifications.

Who Can Apply for an Advanced Learner Loan?

This loan is available to individuals who meet the following criteria:
✅ Aged 19 or older at the start of their course
✅ Enrolling in a Level 3 to Level 6 qualification
✅ Studying at an approved provider in England
✅ Meeting UK residency requirements

At FSEC, we help learners apply for Advanced Learner Loans to enrol in our courses. If you're seeking different qualifications, we can assist you in finding and applying to other providers that match your goals (fees apply).

Loan Amounts & Repayments

The amount you can borrow depends on your course tuition fees. The minimum loan amount is £300, while the maximum covers the full cost of your course.

📌 Repayment Terms:

 ✔️ No repayments until your earnings exceed £27,295 per year
✔️ Repay just 9% of income above the threshold
✔️ Repayments pause if your salary drops below £27,295
✔️ Loans are written off after 30 years

💡 Access to Higher Education Diplomas: If you complete a university degree after an Access to HE course, your loan is written off completely!
